Views‑per‑Subscriber (VPS)
VPS = views ÷ subscribers. This normalizes performance by channel size and helps detect videos that outperform their usual baseline.
Velocity
Velocity measures how quickly a video accumulates views relative to its publish date. We compare recent performance to surface fast‑moving videos.
Engagement Rate (ER)
ER = (likes + comments) ÷ views. This helps filter low‑quality or click‑bait content when like/comment data is available.
Update cadence
Snapshots are generated on a scheduled basis. Results can lag real‑time by several hours depending on collection windows.
Ranking approach
We do not combine metrics into a single proprietary score. Rankings emphasize transparency so you can interpret why a video appears on the list.
